Liga MX: Monterrey announces Rodolfo Pizarro signing
It has been a couple of unsettling weeks at Club Deportivo Guadalajara, the team is selling off its stars and buying players that are not good enough to replace the ones that have left. Jorge Vergara and the front office failed to sign Rodolfo Cota, sold off Oswaldo Alanis and now have officially done away with Rodolfo Pizarro.
This Wednesday, Monterrey officially announced Rodolfo Pizarro as the newest member of their team and put an end to speculation and an ongoing saga. The move will leave fans of Chivas broken and distraught with little to no hope of being competitive next season.
Chivas is set to receive a reported 17 million dollars from the transfer, but that money will not be put to good use. There is no player on the visible market that could replace Pizarro and the impact he had on Chivas de Guadalajara.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is still one of the most talented and skillful players in the Liga MX. On his day he can take on any defense in the league and his vision and shooting abilities are among the deadliest of any Mexican-born players.

Chivas is dismantling its championship team from the Clausura 2017 and has now lost its most talented player. Los Rojiblancos seem farther away from fighting for a title than ever before and will likely have a very disappointing Club World Cup.
