Liga MX: Chivas’ players protest by not showing up for medical exams
This Monday, 14 Chivas’ players were scheduled to participate in medical exams ahead of the Apertura 2018 and none of them showed up. This is the latest demonstration by the Chivas’ players that they are against what the front office is currently doing with the team.
Los Rojiblancos have already sold Oswaldo Alanis and Rodolfo Pizarro and also failed to sign goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota. The front office does not seem interested in finding suitable replacements for the players that have left and this has concerned the players and fans.
Matias Almeyda was set to leave the club and it almost seems impossible that he will stay on with Jorge Vergara’s club. This demonstration by the players of not showing up to the medical exams was clearly showing support to their manager.
This is not the first time that the team has protested against the front office with plenty of demonstrations in the last few months. The protests have been effective in the past to fix smaller issues, but the main issue has still not been resolved.

Club Deportivo Guadalajara does seem to be declining and the upcoming season does not seem promising by any stretch of the word.
