Hernan Cristante and Toluca seemed desperate towards the end of the match to get a goal and did finally get one by Gabriel Huache in the 81st minute. The effort was much too late as the score stayed 1-1 and Santos Laguna enjoyed its six Liga MX title after the final whistle.
