Liga MX: Peru international Pedro Aquino signs for Leon
The Liga MX Clausura 2018 is yet to find its champion, but some teams are already starting to prepare for the Apertura 2018 tournament. Leon has been the busiest team so far, as it recently announced the signings of goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota, defender William Tesillo and this Friday, May 18 announced the signing of another reinforcement.
Los Esmeraldas announced the signing of Peruvian midfielder Pedro Aquino as a loan deal from Monterrey. Aquino’s contract is owned by Los Rayados, but he is yet to play a game for them as he was previously out on loan at Lobos BUAP.
The 23-year-old will be heading to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia barring any injuries and is a steal of a singing for La Fiera. Aquino’s stock should definitely rise after the global competition this summer as he is a very talented player that can benefit any Liga MX team.
Y para celebrar el aniversario del Bicampeonato, hoy le damos la bienvenida a Pedro Aquino a León. 🦁

The Peru international is a box-to-box midfielder and is solid in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Aquino’s strength is definitely in distribution and should be able to create a spectacular partnership with Luis Montes and Alexander Mejia in Leon’s midfield.
