Liga MX: Oswaldo Alanis set to join Getafe, confirmed by club president
Chivas’ defender Oswaldo Alanis had taken a recent trip to Spain and it did seem like he had been in negotiations with a La Liga team. There was uncertainty as to which team he was in negotiations with and if he would actually end up making the move to Europe.
That uncertainty died down this Monday with Getafe president Angel Torres confirming the signing to Radio Marca of Spain. Torres said, “Yes (the deal is finalized), he’s going to go play in the World Cup, he left today, he was crowned champion (of the CCL) and they have given him a 10-day vacation”.
Torres also mentioned that the signing was a request by Getafe manager Jose Bordalas and that Alanis will be presented by the Spanish club after his vacation.

There are only two games left until the end of the 17/18 La Liga season and Getafe will finish their campaign with games against Atletico Madrid and Malaga. The Azulones have had a great season, currently in seventh place with 52 points and could play in the Europa League next season.
