Liga MX: Club Tijuana to repeat lineup that was used in first-leg against Monterrey
Club Tijuana and Monterrey will fight for a place in the semifinals of the Liga MX Clausura 2018 this Saturday. The first-leg between the two northern teams ended in a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Caliente as the series now shifts to the Estadio BBVA Bancomer.
The Xolos will need to go all out as the border city team needs to either win or tie by two goals or more to advance in the competition. Tijuana’s starting lineup has been leaked by reporter Said Rodriguez and the Aztec Canines will go for the same exact starting XI that was used in the first-leg.
Gibran Lajud will be in between the sticks with Omar Mendoza, Juan Carlos Valenzuela, Pablo Aguilar and Damian Perez making up the defense. The midfield will consist of Damian Musto and Ignacio Rivero with the attacking trident of Miller Bolanos, Gustavo Bou and Luis Mendoza playing behind Juan Lucero.

The formation has usually either been a 4-2-3-1 with Gustavo Bou used as a left winger or a 4-4-2 with Miller Bolanos and Luis Mendoza on the wings and the strike partnership of Bou and Lucero. Damian Perez did suffer an injury in the first leg and was subbed out of the game but has made a speedy recovery.
The game is set to kickoff at 7:00 P.M. Pacific time and should be one of the more intense Liga MX playoffs encounters this weekend.
