Liga MX Clausura 2018 Week 7: Puebla vs Toluca Match Preview February 14, 2018
Puebla will host Toluca at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc this Wednesday, February 14, 2018 (7:00 PM Pacific) for a game in the seventh round of matches in the Liga MX Clausura 2018. Both teams are currently on nine points and look like possible playoff contenders in this Clausura tournament.
Puebla is currently undefeated at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc and will look to keep that going in this match against Toluca. La Franja is yet to win away from home but has played a very enticing style of play, especially in home games.
Enrique Meza has this Puebla side trending as it has achieved wins against Chivas, Veracruz and most notably Tigres UANL. Los Camoteros are coming off a tough 2-1 loss against Leon but can bring it back here at home. Puebla’s attack is very exciting with players like Francisco Acuna, Christian Marrugo and Omar Fernandez and could do some damage against a Toluca side that can be shaky in defense.

Toluca is coming off its most impressive performance of the season, a 2-1 win against Monterrey at home. Los Diablos Rojos now have two wins, three draws and only one loss in this tournament and like Puebla also have an exciting attack.
Players like the youngster Alexis Vega, the former Puebla forward Alexis Canelo and Fernando Uribe make for an intriguing offensive unit for Hernan Cristante. The midfield may be the strongest component for Los Escarlatas with players like Rubens Sambueza, Pablo Barrientos and Antonio Rios.
The defense is experienced but can be faulty at times which can make the difference in this match. It is hard to say if either team will come out on top as this game could easily end in a deadlock at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc. The game should be intense and exciting as both teams are very talented offensively but Puebla will have the massive home-field advantage.
