Manchester City extended its undefeated run in the Premier League to 22 games with a dominant 3-1 win against Watford this Tuesday. Nine South American players featured in the game at the Etihad Stadium as the standouts were Sergio Aguero for Man City and Andre Carrillo for Watford.
Aguero scored one of City’s three goals in the game, a fairly easy tap-in and he also had three shots on target and three successful dribbles in the match as well. His countryman, Nicolas Otamendi played all 90 minutes and was not very busy on the day but he did finish the encounter with 110 accurate passes.
Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho had 111 accurate passes along with a key pass and nine accurate long balls. The 32-year-old continues to be one of the more consistent players for Pep Guardiola this season as he has been crucial in the heart of the pitch.
Brazilian defender Danilo received 23 minutes off the bench, replacing John Stones in the 67th minute of the match but he did not have to work much.
Both goalkeepers in the game were Brazilian as Ederson defended The Citizens’ net and Heurelho Gomes was in between the sticks for The Hornets. Ederson had a pretty leisurely experience while Gomes was worked all game and the veteran did struggle as he allowed three goals to go through. The Watford captain has now allowed five goals in the last two games and has made a couple blunders in these games as well.

Richarlison had one of his worst performances all season for Watford as he was dispossessed twice and was fouled four times in 83 minutes of play. On the opposite wing, Andre Carrillo continued his great form as he provided the assist to Watford’s lone goal of the game. The Peruvian winger also had five successful dribbles from five attempts and now has a goal and an assist in Watford’s last two games.
Roberto Pereyra also received 29 minutes off the bench in the game for The Golden Boys and was decent with his distribution in the limited time he received. Pep Guardiola’s are still breezing by with a 15-point advantage on second-place Manchester United. Watford now only has one win in its last nine games but is still in a very decent 10-place position.
