Colombia international Davinson Sanchez participated in Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win against Swansea City this Tuesday. The goals for Mauricio Pochettino’s side came via English midfielder Dele Alli and Spanish striker Fernando Llorente to seal the three points from the game.
Sanchez only played 59 minutes in the game as he was booked in the first half and Pochettino clearly wanted to avoid the Colombian from being sent off. The weather was horrid in Swansea, which added to the potential risk of cards being shown in the game. The young defender was sent off earlier in the season and received a three-match ban as a result of it.
Sanchez did have a decent performance against The Swans with four clearances, two interceptions and a tackle. The 21-year-old also kept a 91.8-percent pass accuracy and had four accurate long balls from six total long balls.
The north-London based club achieved its third consecutive victory and improved to 40 points with the win. Sanchez played in his 14th game this season and received his 13th start as he continues to be a consistent player for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs.
