Lucas Pratto Denies Club America To Spend Time With Daughter
Club America has been in the search of a new striker for the upcoming Clausura 2018 after severe offensive struggles in the Apertura 2017. The strike partnership of the inconsistent Silvio Romero and the aging Oribe Peralta only combined for nine goals in the last tournament. Las Aguilas inclusively failed to score a single goal in four games in the Apertura 2017 playoffs. Miguel Herrera is now in pursuit of a striker to try and resolve this problem and is reportingly targeting players like Jeremy Menez and Leo Baptistão.

One player that was on Herrera’s radar but has denied a move to Mexico City is Sao Paulo’s Lucas Pratto. It has been reported by several media outlets that the Argentinian striker is looking for a move back to his home country, specifically to spend time with his family and daughter. The 29-year-old forward has been in Brazil since 2015 with Atletico Minero and Sao Paulo. In that time, Pratto has 23 goals in 79 appearances, recently scoring five in 25 appearances for Sao Paulo in 2017.
