Liga MX: Mexican Champs Sign Arley Rodriguez From Atletico Nacional
This Tuesday, Tigres UANL announced the signing of 24-year-old forward Arley Rodriguez from Colombian giants Atletico Nacional. The transaction is a permanent deal but it is very likely that Rodriguez may not stay with the club for too long. Tigres already has a very potent team and there is not enough room for many foreign players to make the matchday roster. This was the case throughout the Apertura 2017 when players like Damian Alvarez, Larry Vasquez and even Lucas Zelayaran failed to make the bench on several occasions.

Rodriguez is still young at 24 years old and Tigres has had success in signing young Colombian forwards in the past like the case of Lobos BUAP’s Julian Quiñones. The former Atletico Nacional man played with Los Verdolagas, Elche B in Spain and other Colombian teams like Leones and Alianza Petrolera. The San Andres, Colombia native is known for his rapid pace but definitely has room to grow. It will be interesting to see how he can adapt to Mexico’s top-tier league if he is to stay with Tigres UANL in the Clausura 2018.
